About
This is MACH.
Speed is more than running fast.
Why we exist
MACH Baseball was created to give young athletes a serious development environment without losing the values that make youth sports meaningful.
We believe players improve when they are challenged, coached with purpose and surrounded by teammates who compete the right way.
Our goal is not simply to win games. Our goal is to build better players, stronger competitors and confident young athletes.
What MACH Means
Progress. Reaction.
Preparation.
MACH is a measure of speed, but on this club it stands for how a player moves through the game: how quickly they read a play, how well they prepared for it, and how they respond when it does not go their way.
Speed
Play fast, think faster. Reaction and decision-making are trainable skills.
Preparation
Games are won in practice. Players arrive ready and leave better.
Confidence
Earned through reps and honest coaching, not empty praise.
Coaching
Who is coaching your player
Ricardo Medrano
Ricardo played professional baseball on two continents. He signed with the Chicago White Sox and played in their organization as an infielder, and in Venezuela he played for the Leones del Caracas, one of the most decorated franchises in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League.
He has coached for more than 15 years, including over a decade at the high school level. He was an assistant at Higley High School from 2009 to 2012 and head varsity coach from 2012 to 2015, and he served as a bullpen catcher for the San Francisco Giants in 2009 and 2010.
Since 2014 he has run Medrano Baseball, working with players on fundamentals, mechanics and the parts of the game that never show up in a box score. That is the standard he brings to every MACH practice.
